Just thought I would share my opinion about this power cables I recently bought. First off this thing is huge and heavy, I had this plugged into my Dac and 'kaboom' it just cut the power. I had my tubes plugged in and it must have just came loose from the outlet due to the weight of it

I keep having this cord on a burn in but it does not change the sound like others I have used. I am a little disappointed in the performance of this cable for the $275 price tag it commands for a 1.5 meter. Cosmetically its low budget looking because the threaded jacket around it was all hairy and rough with the fibers that are loose.

I recently purchased some wireworld cables and thought this would be on par with my Electra's I am running but it just cannot touch them on the electronics. The highs are veiled in comparison to the Electra and when listening to the high resolution version of Daf Punk from hd tracks I could really test that out. Last listening test was against the Stratus ac cable I had on hand. I don't know if length make a diff but the Pangea sounded very similar and almost identical in all departments except for the bass. The Pangea had a little more going on down low

All in all the pangea is a fine cable and there is just crazy amounts of wire and shielding but when I go looking into other ac cables it wont be on the list. I think to best my Wireworlds I am going to have to go all out to get to the next level and step up to the higher end Shunyata that seems to be king of the ac jungle for what I would ever be willing to spend

I know some folks and myself too where and are in the camp that ac cables are a ridicules and one of the least important upgrades. I have changed my tune and tone because you cannot put the horse before the cart as we like to say at cp. All the fancy ic's, speaker cables electrical sources and amps all need clean stable power to do the job they were intended for. Even though I may be a little disappointed in the Pangea I am very happy I even took a walk down this upgrade path

Even if the sound does not improve, at least you have what appears to be a well constructed, high quality power cable.

Pangea cables were the gateway drug into power cables for me. I added the AC14, and later SE, to my gear, and heard an improvement. However, they did not offer a version with a 20 amp connector, which is what I needed for my amps. Later I bought two Shunyata Venom cables with 20 amp connectors, and it has been all Shunyata after that.
Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
Sony XA-5400ES SACD; Pass XP-22 pre; X600.5 amps
Magico S5 MKII Mcast Rose speakers; SPOD spikes

Shunyata Triton v3/Typhon QR on source, Denali 2000 (2) on amps
Shunyata Sigma XLR analog ICs, Sigma speaker cables
Shunyata Sigma HC (2), Sigma Analog, Sigma Digital, Z Anaconda (3) power cables

Mapleshade Samson V.3 four shelf solid maple rack, Micropoint brass footers
    Three 20 amp circuits.

DIY is IMO the best bang for the buck. Build a Chris VH Flavor 4 with Furutech gold connectors for under $200. Killer PC.

The AC9s worked out great in my system. I first tried the AC-14 which fell on its face but the AC9 was comparable with some others I tried. They are certainly gear dependent because some found the AC-14 to work great and the AC9 not to. $279 was way too much, my 4 meter ones were less than that.

Sorry for misleading the price, I was reffering to the retail but the real world price or what I paid was $175. I am by no means saying this is not a great cable but rather it cannot give me the same performance of the Aurora ac cable and only slightly besting my Stratus ac. When comparing this to stock then you will be in for a nice surprise as it is a definitive upgrade.

 Evil kitty believes the cord must be a snake and hisses at it while he tries to tackle it but he has no claws to defend
