Since I had the Kenwood receiver in my bdrm doing nothing except fm radio it was time for a companion. I went early garage sale shopping and for $5 I got a Panasonic DVD/CD RV-32 player. My JBL J2060s needed something
else to air out on. Yes it's the cheapest piece of crap ,but it works and the remote does as well. So it's still a little to early to rock out in the bdrm w/ my upstairs neighbor a prison co and works wacky hours and don't want to upset the apple cart. I do not need it for dvd duties I have 2 other cdp in the living room and a bl/r p as well. I don't think it's worthy of a sig change so I will not .

You been hanging out with Polkfarmboy?--Gary--
Onkyo Integra M504, Bottlehead Foreplay III, Denon SACD, Thiel CS2.3, NHT VT-2, VT-3 and Evolution T6, Infinity RSIIIa, SDA1C and a few dozen other speakers around the house I change in and out. -
Some of those Pannies do have nice sound out of the RCA jacks. I remember hooking one up to a friend's (actually my former Denon AVR) through the toslink and thinking it was too bright. So I turned around and ran the Pannie's L/R outs, problem "gone". And he's been running it that way ever since.
I have a Pannie DVD/CD changer I use for long CD sessions on a Marantz 2265, KLH 17 system. Sounds fine!
Enjoy!
cnhCurrently orbiting Bowie's Blackstar.!
Polk Lsi-7s, Def Tech 8" sub, HK 3490, HK HD 990 (CDP/DAC), AKG Q701s

Do you think the Rca outputs are better than the toslink?
I thought when you use to toslink then the receiver or
preamp DAC handles the output and in my case the Onkyo 808 is better
than a 10 year old player? Some of those Pannies do have nice sound out of the RCA jacks. the Panny plays fine. I was wrong about calling it a piece of crap it's the receiver that has to go . Now this Kenwood VR-615 is the real loser here. I need a Marantz 2230 Sansui or of that vintage then my bdrm will be sounding ok.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E
