Required upgrade for perfect power

Over the last year I have upgraded my power in my two channel system. At this time, it consists of a dedicated 20 amp line, a Shunyata Triton power conditioner, Shunyata Ztron Cobra power cords to the SACD, pre, DAC, and digital file player, two Shunyata Python CX power cords for the amps, a Shunyata SR-Z1 outlet, and the latest addition, a Shunyata Ztron Anaconda power cable between the outlet and the Triton.

I have been very happy with Shunyata gear, since every item has made a noticeable improvement. However, after adding the Anaconda I felt that something was lacking, or missing. The music seemed 'colored'. It was not clear and in harmony. Something was clearly wrong, and then I saw it. The Shunyata SR-71 outlet is grey, but the outlet faceplate is beige.

Whoa!!! Big time color contrast. Obviously, this clash was 'coloring' the music. It appears to be preventing happy electrons, which results in out of harmony music. To fix this snafu I ordered a grey face plate from Amazon, and after installation the music cleared up and is now colorless. The Anaconda is working better than expected, and is bringing detail in the music out to the front. The soundstage is better defined, while the intricacy of music is clear and apparent within the soundstage, everything is in harmony, and the universe is at peace.

The plate has to match for the electrons to flow properly, obviously.

That outlet looks scared of that powercord.........

and that powercord looks a little.... like something else in that picture shall we say....

I don't know, BF, the two faceplates looked to be more in alignment with each other pre-upgrade. :loneranger: Might want to give them the laser level treatment to be certain. THEN the universe will be at peace!

Yes, from an aesthetic point of view.

The face-plate screw slots all need to be vertical! Some high dollar electricians worry about things like that.
Seriously, when they wire a new million dollar house, all the screw slots need to be vertical.

I tried the white on white combo, but it was too bright for me. Be careful not to screw that outlet cover too tight, it could start absorbing vibrations from the sheetrock causing a sink hole under the neighbors house.

Just want to follow up on this with burn-in progress. The grey is settling in nicely, and its atomic structure is aligning with the electron flow through the outlet, resulting in an overall smoother sound. Now, the timbre is more timbrely, and the soundstage is less staged with better sound.

Since "all" those electrons are not "actually" passing through the SAME "specific" location that is fully defined by the plug and its attached wire, that could be a problem. And Strudel is a very tasty treat!

Strudel is tasty to be sure...but turnovers beat it on virtually every level and twice at the electron level.

While true on the physical plane, the quantum plane exhibits counter intuitive behavior. Pie is tasty, strudel is fattening.
