NHT Classic Four?
I might have an opportunity to buy a used pair of NHT Classic Fours. I will certainly listen to them before buying but I like to do a little online research first. I can't find too much info on them, so I thought I'd check with the group here. Anyone have a chance to get their ears on them?

I have never owned the Classic Four. I have had Super Zero's, Super One's and Super Two's. I enjoyed them greatly. I still have the Super Two's but a crossover is out so haven't listened to them in quite some time.AVR: Pioneer Elite SC-67

Thanks for the replies so far. I take magazine reviews with a grain of salt these days, but that is a nice review.\
I've got a few bucks in the Paypal account right now and that never lasts long. I need to learn how to be patient.
Anyways, looking for new speakers in the office setup now. 100% music and preferably towers, but a highly regarded stand mount isn't out of the question. $1k range and used only. Also, something I haven't owned in the past. -

Where are you located? Anything on your local Craigslist?
St. Louis, MO. I check CL daily. Nothing inspiring me at the moment. -

I actually have two sets of speakers in here now. Dynaudio Audience 52 on the desk for near field (port plugs in) and I also have my Polk RT16 towers. It's decent sized bedroom converted to an office, so the RT16s sound pretty good in here. -
The nearfield studio monitor market is what you are after unless your office is HUGE. That market has just as many choices and one can go crazy $$$ if they want but....
Without knowing what source, pre, amps etc you may or may not have...if you are after a simple deck/office nearfield active monitor...the SWAN mkIII is a good value in a balanced and neutral sounding monitor if this is what you are after.
Here is one review: http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/swans2/1.html
If more low end is desired could add something like a HSU VTF-1 MK2...about $850 total. But....this is a totally different direction then the NHT Classic Fours you proposed so....just throwing one of a million options out there.2.2 Office Setup | LG 29UB55 21:9 UltraWide | HP Probook 630 G8 | Dell Latitude | Cabasse Stream Amp 100 | Boston Acoustics VS 240 | AUDIORAX Desk Stands | Mirage Omni S8 sub1 | Mirage Omni S8 Sub2 -

Ok, so the other components in the chain here are as follows:
For the near field setup, I have:
Source - PC
Pre/Amp - using an older Sony ES receiver. It's STR-DA80ES. It's built like a tank and rated for 4 ohms. I have the optical out from the PC directly into the Sony
Speakers - Dynaudio Audience 52
Sub - Infinity BU-1 (don't laugh)
For the tower setup:
Source - PC
Pre - NAD C 162. I have an Apple Airport Express doing the Digital to Analog (for now, but I may add a DacMagic, DAC-IT, or DragonFly here)
Amp - Parasound HCA-1500A
Speakers - Polk RT16
Sub - No sub
