    If you have get a chance to see the "Fearsome Foursome" documentary on ESPN, you will find out he was a outstanding gentle all the way till he died...a pillar of his community and the NFL...good show

    He was fierce. I was a big Rams fan back then and loved those guys. Wish he had gotten to Tarkenton and Brodie a few more times, esp '69. Wearing Deacon's throwback tonight. RIP

    He was one of my hero's back when I played little league football.

    I was a bit sad when I it heard this morning.
