My knowlege of Vacuum Tubes...........
NADA!
ZILCH.....ZERO!
Problem is I had a box full given to me, with access to more.
Another problem: The "types" or model numbers are not listed anywhere on these tubes.
Some are LARGE and some are just a little bigger than the 6xxx types.
Makers names are on them, fine and dandy, but how is one to determine the type?
Pin orientation, number of pins?
Some have the heater doohickeys on the top, some do not (shows how much I know about them).
They are actually in pretty good shape, some still have a really great condition sticker on 1 side of the glass, but does not mention the type, they just need to be cleaned up a bit.
Just sooooo many types of a certain tube, not sure I will ever know the exact type.
I found 1 type listed and it was a 65x?
I know they are not Television tubes as I was told they came out of OLD audio components with some coming out of in-dash car radios (the medium GE's not pictured).
Theres a bunch of them in the box.

Thanks man, I feel like an idiot because now I am finding numbers on them.
I just had to wipe some dust off the glass (I bet Brock got goosebumps hearing that) and put it under a better light.
I originally looked all around the base and bottoms of them and found no numbers, except on the Silvertone (65x).
I actually have a couple of tube components, but nothing with this large of tubes.
The Cunninghams says "34" on them.
Raytheons 1F6
Sylvanias F7 "33" or "38"
Tungsols are 1C6
Now I can start the search, thanks for the help, I think I "got er figured out now".:cheesygrin:Testing

Those appear to be old radio tubes and generally, as you've discovered empirically, next to worthless by and large (although handy when rescuing old radios).
That said, some old radios used what we'd still consider "good" (i.e., desireable) output tubes - one might find a 45, 46, or 2A3 in a motley crew like that one. One might also find the odd nice preamp tube (6SN7, 6SL7, 76, 7N7, e.g.) in a lot like that.
As Louis Pasteur observed, "Chance favors the prepared mind" :-) -
Several 7A5's, 7C7's and 7Z4's, 7E6's all GE, and some Sylvania JAN CHS 1LN5's in the bunch Mark.
If you need some of the ones I have, I would swap for a 6X4 rectifier tube if you have one.:cheesygrin:Testing
