t- nuts (does size matter?)

8-32.......1/4x 20 ?????? doing a pair of RTA12C's, any size better than another???

    i would say go with the smallest you can. ideally #8 assuming the holes in the cabinets haven't been drilled out larger than the hole size used for a #8 tee nut.

    i don't think thread count matters.

    i used #10-24 tee nuts because my monitor 5's had holes drilled larger for plastic inserts that were in there already so i couldn't use a #8 tee nut. i think #10 cap screws look too large, especially for the tweeter.

    if possible use hurricane nuts from parts-express. tee-nuts are hard to install especially in MDF or particle board.

    Do NOT use T-nuts for anything other than mounting spikes to the base of a speaker cabinet.

    You want Hurricane nuts and the thread size should be 8-32.
