My sub, a JBL CSS10 has started to rumble for no appearant reason. Even with the AVR off, it just sits there and makes noises. I have checked all the connections and settings. Whats up?

Steady hum/rumble or does it sound like it is changing frequnecy up and down as well as changing volume level?
A steady hum would most likely indicate a ground loop issue."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

Its sporadic. Not a steady hum. More of a rumble on and off

Does it do it when it not connected at all?

Yup...even after i unplug the subwoofer cable

Assuming the sib is set to auto, have you tried it with setting set to on? If so does it still happen?

Maybe an internal amplifier problem?Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2
