Blu Ray on the Mac

I finally decided to test out this software that I've read about for a little while. It essentially allows you to play Blu Rays on your Mac. Thats been one of the biggest gripes that most Mac owners have had...no Blu Ray support.
I bought this LG Blu Ray player that is on sale at Best Buy...

and bought this software for $30...

Works like a charm!

Can't you just play in VLC for free?Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

I couldn't get it to work with VLC. I tried that before going to the Mac Blu Ray Player. No excuses! -

It looks fantastic on the iMac and rMBP displays, can't speak for the MBA display but assume looks great there as well.

I played a bluray file on the 27" iMac display (the newest one with the LCD plastered right against the glass) and it looked amazing. I previewed some "acquired" 1080p on my Thunderbolt display and ....good. Too bad my GPu is too slow to play 4k stuff off of Youtube. What does CPU utilization look like playing actual BluRays? Does it use GPU acceleration?Main Surround -

I have the late 2009 i7 quad core intel processor on my 27" iMac. Checking the activity monitor while playing a BR, the system is hitting between 11% - 12.5% of the processor, with about 80% of that going to the Blu Ray player. No excuses!
