Going to ( finely) do my RTA12C'S. Qurstion! What alterations need be made to accomadate the rdo198's physically and electronicly???
Main Rig:
Krell KAV 250a biamped to mid/highs
Parasound HCA1500A biamped to lows
Nakamichi EC100 Active xover
MIT exp 1 ic's
Perreaux SA33 class A preamp
AQ kingcobra ic's
OPPO 83 CDP
Lehmann audio black cube SE phono pre, Audioquest phono wire (ITA1/1)
Denon DP-1200 TT. AToc9ML MC cart.
Monster HTS 3600 power conditioner
ADS L1590/2 Biamped
MIT exps2 speaker cable

    the RD-0194's are the designated replacement for these, not the 198's. As far as mods to the Xover, I don't believe any are required.

    The 194 is a little larger than the SL1000 so you'll have to enlarge the hole in the board at mounts on.

    Mine already have had the 194's now, intend to upgrade to 198's when doing the xovers.

    I believe you will have to make some changes to the crossover if you change to those tweets

    I don't recall anyone using the 198's in RTA 12C's. On other Polk speaks, using the 198's typically requires the addition of a cap (or change in value of one of the existing caps) along with a change in resistor values.

    Have you already upgraded the Xovers? If not, I would start there.

    Not done yet! Getting ready to order parts which is why i need the info as to what changes in the current caps or risistors i need to change for the 198's.
