Memorial Day Thinning out the herd/ Nice Parasound Amp

Hey Everyone,
I am starting to clear out stuff that I have been keeping but will not end up using. I have the best for first here. I am selling a very nice(but heavy) Parasound 2205A amplifier. I have had many amps and became a fan of Parasound about 5 years ago because of their quality and cost. No, they are not cheap but they are , including this one, some of the best sounding amps around for the money. I have finally purchased the Halo A51 and I have been holding on to this amp. Why, well it is just a beautiful sounding amp. It is more softer, not as forward as my Halo A51 and the Parasound 5250 that I had before. Very detailed and it drove my Martin Logans effortlessly. The sound is so detailed and full. I was debating whether to keep this or the A51 ( I am having a hard time telling the differance ?). Well, because I invested in the Halo I decided it makes no sense to let this sit. I would like someone else to enjoy it. I am selling it here first and I would prefer a local sale becuase of the weight. I live in the Chicago area and could meet half way up to 100 miles. This amp weighs 85 pounds and when taking it out of my shelving unit I created a few scatches on top of the unit. Otherwise the front back and sides are in very nice shape. More importantly it works and sounds wonderfully and I have had no problems. Just upgrade bug and I am not sure yet if letting this go is the right choice. I am asking $850.00 or a reasonable offer. If it can be local I would consider coming down a little so I do not have to ship. You will love this amp!
Thanks!

I'll trade you a new camera for that amp
Great amp here folks, classic Parasound sound and design. I love how all these Parasound amps hit the FM two weeks AFTER I paid full price for my Halo... -

Which Halo ?
After having several amps including Carver,Adcom, and the new series Parasound, I honestly believe that these older HCA amps are some of the best buys out there. If this does not sell here I will try agon or maybe sell it to my bro-in law. He would just have to sell his HCA 2303 3 channel. For those of you who have not listened to a Parasound you are missing out.
If I can find someone local and give them a good deal I will buy it back if they do not like it. That is how highly I think of this ampHT System
