I am looking for a nice pair of PSB Stratus Gold speakers.
My preference is the original Stratus Gold model rather than the later Gold i model but I may consider the Gold i model as well if the price is right.
I live in Albany, NY, so I could pick them up within a 3 hour radius from Albany (NYC/NJ/Boston, etc, all ok).
Local pick-up would be best as I know shipping these would be expensive but, again, if price is right, shipping may be an option.
I picked up a pair of the original PSB Stratus tower speakers (precursor to Stratus Gold) a few months ago and like them a lot. I'd love to upgrade to the Stratus Gold model.
Thanks.

I knew you'd like em."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

What's your budget? I think even the current Image line are a step up from the Stratus even though those sold for more originally.

Zltful, you were definitely right about the PSB Stratus speakers. Thanks again for letting me know how great they were and for recommending that I get them! Your advice was definitely one of the primary factors in my deciding to get them a few months ago. They are fantastic speakers.
Assimilated, my budget would be around 5 bills I guess although I know the Stratus Gold do not appear for sale that often and, when they do, they can sell for more than that. -
It seems like they come up every 3-4 months here in socal for around $400-$600 depending on condition. I was slow to move on a pair of Goldi's last month and missed out. Good luck!

Thanks, audiocr381ve.
I'd prefer to get the Stratus Gold model as I have heard that the Gold is a little more desirable model than the Goldi but I am sure both are excellent and would definitely be worth picking up. -
Here is a pair in Idaho. No shipping though. Seam a bit expensive.

You will Love the original Gold they are truly a Great speaker..
Even the Original Silvers in piano finish looked Great and sounded even better, I would also love to get my hands in a set as well.
They were my Dream speakers back in the day, but sadly I could never afford either of them..
And the newer Image line is in no way comparable, the Image Line is the beginning line on getting into PSB speakers..
I just Sold my Image T6's in favor of the Paradigms..
Good Luck finding them ill keep my eyes out for you as well..ATC SCM40's,VTL TL 2.5 Preamp,PSB Stratus Goldi's,McCormack DNA 500,McCormack MAP-1 Preamp,Pro-Ject Xtension 10 TT,Ortofon Cadenza Red/Nordost RedDawn LS Speaker cables, Bryston BDP-2, Bryston BDA-2,PS Audio AC-3 power cables -
thanks, jim249. I appreciate it. Unfortunately that pair is too far away from me. The price, although beyond my budget, is actullay not too bad for a pair of Stratus Gold in excellent condition. I think $750 is a median price for a pair of Stratus Gold. I have seen them listed for as low as $500 (rarely but it happens) and as high as $1000.
And thanks, jhayman. I hope you find a pair as well. I had never heard of PSB speakers until a pair of the original Stratus tower speakers (the precusor to tthe Stratus Silver and Gold) showed up on my local CL and, thanks to the positive feedback of fellow Polkies like zltful, I bought them. I love how they sound and would like to upgrade to the Stratus Gold which I hear are top of the line in all respects.
