We ended up getting the Verizon (Netgear) 4G LTE modem/router for our home internet solution. It's working VERY well. Download speeds in excess of 12mbps, though upload speeds aren't anything to write home about. Faster than my previous cable internet setup.

Something to keep in mind if you're out in the sticks, and frustrated with DSL/Satellite, etc. We bundled it with our cells, and we also decided to go with Verizon home phone as well.

I am no longer HATING the internet! Century link has been given the boot.

Are you on a capped plan, or do they have unlimited plans now?

No, unfortunately it's capped--but if necessary we'll increase the data amount. The gal asked us a bunch of questions about our internet usage, and she said we should be fine with 10G.

The 2 cells (iphone/droid rzr) and the internet pkg is $200/month. The home phone is $19.95 and handled separately from the cell/internet plan. This is quite a savings over the poor Century Link which was $184 for DSL/Home phone ALONE.

We were both way over-due for new phones anyway--so we figured we'd give it a shot. Bev talked me into a "smart" phone, so I told the Verizon gal to pick me a smart phone for a cell phone moron. Enter the iphone4, I really like it, and she was right--it's extremely easy to learn.

Pardon my last post bro, but am I correct in thinking this is cellphone service, plus internet/home phone bundled in one package? If so 12mb is pretty good speed. Had to think that over for a sec.

The home phone is a seperate bill, but also Verizon. The 2 cells and internet share the data pkg. My average download speed over cable was about 6-9Mbps, so I'm very pleased with the 4G performance.
