Hi,
My old receiver fried the 6.5" mid/woofer in each of these vintage Polks (18 yrs old). I checked with customer service and I can replace the damaged speakers for $60 each.

What's the best way to go; repair these or invest in a new pair of Polks?

    Repair them.

You'd be hard pressed to find equal performance, for such a minimal investment. Fix them, and enjoy the music for another 18yrs.

    Cheers,

The M7's mid-woofer should be $48 each with free shipping.

I hope that's the correct price because that's not bad at all. Is that the price from Polk or some other vendor. When I had called last week, the lady had told me $60ea but they are out of stock now and she would call me back when they come in.
