    That is a good question. I never saw the first until the extended version on DVD. I saw the other 2 in the theater and I must say having now seen both the TT on SE DVD and the theater, the DVD rocks. If you have the balls to wait for August 2004, you will not be diapointed. I have ROTK in the theater and will wait to see it for the first time on DVD in August. The SE dvd is like another movie. MY 2 cents.
