Hello

I am getting mixed information.
I purchased the Atrium Garden System (passive sub and 2 speakers) to add to my deck.
If i want to connect it to my existing inside Sony STR-DG910 receiver using the B channel speaker slots, do i need an additional amp to power the sub? i already have a powered sub and 5 speakers connected as a surround sound area in my den, but i want to add this sub to my outdoor area. theres just the 2 sets of speaker inputs +/- L, +/- R to use. Polk instructions do show to piggyback the 4 wires onto the left and right speakers. I got mixed information from polk and sony and crutchfield. im sooo confused.

how did all of you set these up? did you use an additional amp? will it work as is?
do i need a separate receiver/amp for my outdoor area
if so what is cheap and will accomodate an iphone streaming pandora.

thanks for any input. maire

I've never used this sub, but looked it up about a month ago for another thread. There are 2 sets of connectors on the back of the sub, l and r. You run 2 speaker wires from the left speaker (+ and -) to the left sub connection and wire + to + and - to -.Do the same for the right speaker. If you are using anything other than 2 channel, it would be the fronts. No need for an independant power supply.
