Does it help to feed more power into the LSiM705 if I use a bi-wire connection? The Denon AVR-3313 suggest that 125W will be provided to each channel 125w X 7 channels. If I go bi- wire with the
LSiM705s, in theory, does this mean 250W ( 125W x 2 for
each LSiM705) is going into each of the LSiM705? Thx

    You are confusing bi-wiring and bi-amping. Regardless, there isn't an AVR made that will properly drive the 705's.

    Sorry, it should be a "bi-amp"connection on the Denon AVR 3303. Where the output of both Front right and Sur Back right connected to the two ports of the right speaker and both Front left and Sur Back left connected to two ports of the left speaker.

    Everyone of course is free to try anything to see if it floats their boat but in general on the bi-amping with a receiver thing....forgetaboutit.

    Yes, the topic has been covered. Bi-amping does not double the power going into the speakers. Mass market AVRs are not good candidates for use in bi-amping. While each channel of an AVR is capable of meeting its "per channel" rated spec, none will meet its specified output with all channels driven simultaneously because its power supply is not large enough. In real world use on movies, all channels are not required to deliver maximum or substantial power at the same time, therefore power supplies need not be capable of supporting such all-channel performance levels. Manufacturers design their products with that cost-saving approach in mind, making them better able to bring AVRs to market with all the latest bells and whistles at affordable prices. If you are serious about bi-amping, use separates.

    Since the question is raised, I've got one too. What about using both sets of speaker outs on a 2ch amp? My 2250 for ex. has 2 sets of speaker outs (A&B). Any advantage to running both sets (2 positive and 2 negative), one set to both sets of posts on each speaker (also 2+ and 2-)?

    You'd have to read the manual to find out what the amp is capable of and what the second set of jumpers are for.

    what about using the Onkyo's "digital crossover network function" that can (in a bi-amp connection with the two bi-amp channels in the Onkyo TX-Nr818) output two signals—one carrying the high frequency bandwidth information to the upper +/- connection of the speaker and the other containing low frequency information to the to the lower +/- connection of the speaker . The crossover frequency set by the receiver needs to correspond or almost correspond to the stated crossover frequency of the connected speakers. user is able to set the receiver’s crossover frequency manually. You can choose from 14 frequency presets to match that specified by your speakers. The frequency presets are divided into 1/3-octave steps. 1) What crossover frequency (HZ) should one be setting in the Onkyo TX-Nr818 which fits the specs for the Lsim705? 2)Will this bi-amp setup provide more power to the Lsim705 as now only low frequency is output in one channel and only high frequency the other?

    This is viable only if you disable (bypass) the crossovers in the LsiM70x speakers (goodbye warranty) otherwise you will have "double' crossovers .. not what you want. OTOH if you do the mod on the speakers the result may still be unsatisfactory because the internal crossovers have been carefully tuned to the drivers and you may not be able to reproduce their effects with the ONKYO processor settings. If you are unhappy with the high volume response of your current system the simplest thing to do is get a separate stereo amplifier of >=150 W/C and drive your fronts through that from the pre-outs on the ONKYO. That would leave the AVR with the far less challenging task of driving only your center and surrounds.
