Well to start off, this will be my first topic I created even though I have replied to many other topics, so be nice

So far here is my setup. Feel free to give me advice on what I should do or to change around.

Receiver: denon AVR 1912
Front(s): monitor 70 (Just one ) that is because I bought it for $75 new from a guy on craigslist when I was back at school and it was a deal I couldn't pass up. I'm having trouble finding another, so if anyone wants to help, that would be amazing! Also, could I pair it up with the TSI line (TSI500) or would that be weird having a monitor 70 and TSi500?
Back (s): Monitor 50, picked those up for $70 on craigslist too, basically brand new as well.
Subwoofer: KLH GFX-550 Subwoofer, got that for $10 from a friend cause he thought it was busted but in reality, he just was too dumb to know how to hook it up so I got it
TV: Samsung LN52A750 52-Inch 1080p DLNA LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color, picked that up when I was at school too for $450... That was a steal.

What I may be getting soon,

Polk CS2 center channel, trying to find a good deal
OR
Infinity center speaker

Polk Monitor 30 bookshelf speakers

Open for any suggestions too!
Also, open for anyone wanting to sell stuff! Always looking for upgrading stuff or adding some!
Receiver: Denon 1912
Speakers:
Fronts: Polk Audio Monitor 70s (x2)
Rears: Polk Audio Monitor 50 (x2)
Center: Polk Audio Monitor 70
KLH Sub GFX-550

So, you are saying your HT setup is one front speaker, no center channel, and two surround speakers? I guess I would put the rears in the front and use the single front as a CC until you get new speakers.
Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
Sony XA-5400ES SACD; Pass XP-22 pre; X600.5 amps
Magico S5 MKII Mcast Rose speakers; SPOD spikes

Shunyata Triton v3/Typhon QR on source, Denali 2000 (2) on amps
Shunyata Sigma XLR analog ICs, Sigma speaker cables
Shunyata Sigma HC (2), Sigma Analog, Sigma Digital, Z Anaconda (3) power cables

Mapleshade Samson V.3 four shelf solid maple rack, Micropoint brass footers
    Three 20 amp circuits.

Well that is what I originally thought of doing. Having the monitor 70 as a CC and then using the monitor 50s as the fronts. The 50s are currently the back speakers, the surround speaker slot is empty currently as well as the CC slot.

I would skip the TSI/Monitor idea entirely.

I would say grab the CS2 off Polk E-Bay, and move the 50's to front duty.

If you want to stay with the Monitor line, buy a pair, and sell the single. If you want to go TSI, the CS2 will work with those also. Point is right now your cheapest and best choice is that CS2.

Why skip the monitor idea entirely? I am a little bit confused why you say that? Are you saying I should get rid of all my monitors?

I didn't say skipthe Monitor idea. I said skipthe idea of 1 Monitor and 1 TSI for your front stage, or anywhere for that matter. The TSI and Monitor lines have different sounds. Personally I prefer the Monitors to the TSI line, but that is a personal opinion.

I said buy the CS2, and move your 50's for front duty, running a 3.1 system first. I'm assuming you have budget issues here. The CS2 will work for bothe the Monitor and TSI lines. If for some reason you decide that you like the TSI line over the Monitor line, you still will have a good center, and not have to repurchase another.

Personally if I had a limited budget, I would buy the CS2, move the 50's to front duty. Then when funds were available, I would buy a pair of 70's, and sell the one sole 70 that I purchased. If you hang on to the 70, maybe you can run across a sole 70 for sale somewhere, but I would guess that would be a long shot. If you find one, great, the money you were saving for a pair can go someplace else.

So again skip the idea of running 1 Monitor and one TSI for your fronts. Buy a center channel for the speakers you have, the CS2, and go from there.

aaww that makes a lot more sense. Yes, I remember reading that the TSI line is different then the Monitor line. I do like the monitor line, just having trouble finding a single one to buy... I might end up buying one single on ebay... if it is in good condition. either that or looking states wide for a monitor 70 =/

How bad would it be to have 3 monitor 70s? would I really have a use for it?

Is $100 fair price for the CS2 or should I be able to get it lower?

You can get a new one on Polk E-bay for $120, so if new $100 is a good price. If the speaker is used, I would personally scrape together the extra $20.

If you can fit it in your space I would add another vote for buying a pair of Monitor 70s. Have three of those across the front would be pretty cool. There's no law that says your center channel should be horizontal unless you can't fit it in your space.

    Anyone have any more advice?

The cs20 would be fine for M70's. Also, the M70's should be the same, not different models. Surrounds you can do whatever fits your space. Monitor 30's or use your 50's. That subwoofer has to go, look at a Polk micro-pro, SVS, HSU, Epik, for starters. Also put some thought into cables.

    You asked.....
    HT SYSTEM-
    Sony 850c 4k
    Pioneer elite vhx 21
    Sony 4k BRP
    SVS SB-2000
    Polk Sig. 20's
    Polk FX500 surrounds

    Cables-
    Acoustic zen Satori speaker cables
    Acoustic zen Matrix 2 IC's
    Wireworld eclipse 7 ic's
    Audio metallurgy ga-o digital cable

    Kitchen

    Sonos zp90
    Grant Fidelity tube dac
    B&k 1420
    lsi 9's

Hey I appreciate all the advice! It helps me look at new things. I am going to look for a monitor 70 pair. Hopefully I can find the series 1 but I have been reading around and many forums/topics/reviews say that the series 1 and series 2 are exactly the same sounding just cosmetics are different.
