I wouldn't chance it, just move on. My opinion, nothing more.If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

Yeah. Just pisses me off..says you bought it - go to pay - BS..

There is no risk with ebay, your covered so hound him and keep nagging ebay

There could be a lot of things here:
He didnt want to pay PayPal fee's
It sold locally
He was trying to play the field to get a value on the item so when it sold he had a baseline for how much to get locally without fee's
He genuinely was frustrated with the ebay process
Best bet is to just keep moving along unless you cant live without that particular one of those models. They come up from time to time, maybe this particular one just isnt right for you right now.
I am always on the hunt for vintage stuff, but there are many times either life/cash dont line up with whats out there or there is just something off about it and its worth passing on and waiting for the next one.
Patience grasshopper... there be many fish in the sea .

You need more communication with the seller. Give him your phone number, or ask for his, and figure it out between yourselves.2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's
Living Room: PC > Marantz AV-7703 > Emotiva XPA-5 > Sonus Faber Liuto Towers, Sonus Faber Liuto Center, Sonus Faber Liuto Bookshelves > Dual SVS PC12-Pluses
Office: Phone/Tablet > AudioEngine B1 > McIntosh D100 > Bryston 4B-ST > Polk Audio LSiM-703's -
I'd let him and ebay know you've moved on. And ( I hate to say this) that you won't leave any feedback
if he doesn't. You could always rip him up one side and down the other using the CL ad info.
That way he'll never get another bid on EBAY. The down side is EBAY will let him give you a black mark."The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." --Thomas Jefferson -

boston, all you need to do is to file a complaint/claim with ebay and they will investigate it and get back to you and take appropriate action agaionst the Seller if he refuses to sell an item that sold on the site. That is what I would do. I filed a complaint/claim last year with ebay after receiving a defective product from a Seller (and after first sending numerous e-mails to Seller to try to work it out with the Seller, all to no avail) and ebay was great. Ebay investigated it and provided a full refund. Obviously, if you have not paid for the item, a refund would not be the resolution to this particular transaction but at least ebay would penalize the Seller in some other way such as banning him from selling again on ebay and/or making a note of it in Seller's feedback rating as a warning to others, etc. You should also, at the end of the process, provide negative feedback yourself and warn others what the Seller did.

Yes. I will wait one more day. I think if you look it up on Ebay it was bought by me on Saturday. Here it is Tuesday..still cant pay for it. What its worth im better just moving on. But i will call Ebay because i think this happens alot. If someone list it on Ebay they should not be selling item somewhere else. Or remove it if they have a buyer coming to purchase ot locally. Which is what the case is here i think.....now of seller calls me and tells me he sold it. IM COOL WITH THAT..but too just no email or call me'is wrong. Im not not hard to understand....im going to look on Conn Clist right now to see if its still posted......

Its still listed. But i think the newer listing is gone. Here is the older one http://newhaven.craigslist.org/ele/3743907597.html.... I just left a message (call) stating that if it was sold thats fine. But please let me know....trying to do the right thing sometimes just makes me want to be punch the wall. Lol..

LOL. NO. I HAVE A BIG HOUSE WITH LOTS OF ROOMS. GARAGE. WEIGHT ROOM. THERE ALL HOOKED UP....just like them. Some were 20.00 and others were pkg deals. Sold of other items and kept receivers. I look at it this way vs buying a new system at a Hi Fi Electronic store. So its been fairly reasonable & i enjoy it. I may weed out some down the road. I am waiting for youngest to move on in life then do the HT system i really want..
