Yea I think he is just trolling for arguments or he just really thinks everything has to be kept original in order to sound as intended. That's fine, I want them to sound better.

These are not museum pieces. Upgrading components improves the sound, period. I have not heard one person say they like the sound of un-modded SDAs over modded SDAs. That is a lot of ears to prove that mods improve sound. I have personally done it and it makes a huge difference. Maybe you should hear the difference with SDAs and then chime in.

Yea I love those with the big timer knob never could get them set just right,
it's like trying to stop on $20 when you pump gas.
