Wiring RCA's from a radio with 2 preamp outputs to a 4ch amplifier

I have installed a new deck, 4 channel amp and 4 new speakers in my truck, but I have a question about the way I
wired the RCA's. The preamp outputs are labeled "Front (red and white)" and "Rear (red and white)". My amp is labeled channel 1, 2, 3 and 4. How do I know what channel to put each RCA on?? The reason I think i have it mixed up is
because when I tune the balance and fade from the deck, the sound shifts, but still plays out of the same speakers...
I am using this kicker RCA cable: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...46-09ZI46.html
Any help or advice would be appreciated! Thanks.

Usually you want channels 1 & 2 to be the front channels and channels 3 & 4 to be the rear channels, that is how it is setup on my Alpine MRP-M240 4 x 50w amp.
    Alpine CDA-7863 HU
    Alpine MRP-M240 50x4 F&R amp
    Alpine MRV-M450 Sub Amp (2ohms)
    Polk Audio DXi124 DVC (2ohms)
    Alpine SPS-510 x4 F&R Speakers
    Alpine CHA-S604 6 disk CD-Changer
