I agree as well anyone who is serious about their sound should see an audio show..
Would someone be so kind as to see if there will be any audio shows in Toronto any time soon, as I don't know the names of shows to look for..
    Thanks You

@DSkip-- I agree. Although I like a lot of gears in this area, sometimes when I look at the $$ sign, I have to force myself to contain (honestly).. With my income, certainly I cannot effort to spend 10000 $$ on pair of speakers. But, you are absolutely right, have to be patience. If I look at myself, within a period of 18 months, I have gone from HTIB to a dedicated HT system with some well recognized speakers and amps. I will most certainly take your advise. Keep looking and read/listen and then decide.

@noonshinejohn--- I always admire your signature part in any of your comment/post. You sir have some great equipment. One day, i plan to have one of those tube amps.

I'd prob leave more confused at a place like that.. how would one know if the speakers your in front of sounds that much better from the room prior if there all using different gear? Is it the Pro/DAC/AMPs/Cables that makes them sound like that?

Ya know what i'm saying? Whats saying that our speakers couldn't be near as good with the same gear running it?

Let's put it this way.....you hear a set up at a show and you don't like the sound. You're not likely to pursue any of that gear, but when you hear something you like, you're more inclined pursue it further. Maybe there is a dealer near you, etc.

Of course, if you don't go, you'll never know what other gear can sound like.

It could, or could not. Too many variables go into the final sound you hear. We have a saying, "everything matters", in the chain. That btw also includes the room which is always different at a show or in your home. You don't have to spend a lot of coin but you do need to experiment a bit with different speakers/gear/cables/room/placement to find that sound that appeals to you the most.

Its impossible to answer questions about what is the best this or that when it comes to audio, we all hear differently, have different rooms, and most importantly have different wallets. We can offer suggestions based on personal experiences but in the end it is your own experiences that need to be expanded, in your home with your ears.
