    Living Voice Vox Olympians.

Of course, this would be strictly an artistic purchase...

I don't know where you get the 1K figure. Seems WAY high.

    4x RD-0198 tweeters = $200
1 set of Tony's boards = $100 (can't remember exact price, but that's the ballpark)
    1 set of Larry's rings = $100
    SonicCap Gen I's = $260

Throw in some inductors, maybe some nice Dueland resistors, Cardas binding posts, some Dynamat and Sonic Barrier, parts you're going to use to mount the crossover boards, maybe some new wood, grill cloth, spikes, etc. You can get to $1000 with no problem. And that's before you build a Dreadnaught. And then people are starting to upgrade the internal wiring. Cha-ching........
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

Yeah...the Living Voice Auditoriums and OBX speakers are more attainable by mortals. I know of a pair of Auditoriums in Burr Oak the owner is asking $2000 for the pair (~$5500 new).

Salk makes a nice sounding speaker...and those are excellent drivers.
