SHM-SACDs Cheaper

The USD/JPY exchange rate is a lot more favorable than it was 6 months ago and it's now $8.00-$10.00 cheaper to buy yen denominated SHM-SACDs. That brings the price down to the $43.00 range (before shipping and credit card f/x charges) which is more palatable than $50+ per disc.

Might be a good time to get a few more of these.

I noticed that as well. For those who are interested in SHM-SACD, I think it's highly unlikely that there will be any more such releases (Queen's Greatest Hits I & II being the 2 most recent releases). The released SHM-SACDs will go out of print and will command big $$$ on the second hand market.

I think you are correct about this Danny. Buy now or pay a lot later.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

I think prices are even lower now due to the current yen/dollar exchange rate. When I visit cdjapan.co.jp, I noticed that the prices on most items, not just SHM-SACD, have been adjusted to reflect the current exchange rate. On top of that, cdjapan is running a promotion where the buyer gets extra points for buying selected SHM-CDs and SHM-SACD.
