I know this question has been asked before but I can't find the correct information.

Problem is the right speaker midrange and tweeters cut in and out at low volume. I think it's the poly switch.

Two questions
1. How to I get at it? Take out the woofer?
2. Can some one show me a photo of the poly switch in the cross over board?

Much thanks

Peter

poly switch would not effect the mids it is only tweeter protection something else would be going on. On your boards look for a little blue square thing or little brown circular thing. little like 1/4 to 7/16" of an inch very small.

I up bidding to $101.

One thing to check would be swap that driver with the other speaker and see if the problem follows.

    Klipsch RB81, KG3.5, B&W DM602.5, Polk.
Subwoofers: Klipsch RW10, Triad ProSub Bronze.

Peter, remove the passive radiator to gain access to the crossover board. It may seem like you've lost the mids, but pitdogg2 is right, the poly is only in the high frequency circuit.

Sounds like a good excuse to redo the crossovers.
I had a Carver TFM-15 that did that on one channel.
All you next to do is swap channels to test the amp and the speakers

What amp are you driving them with? Could one channel be clipping and causing this?

F1nut Thanks. I think I thought lost the mids and tweets but I maybe wrong.
I have a Revox amp and the sound goes away on the right channel only at low or high volume. I have switched the right speaker and the sound stays on.
I have spare poly switches. Some where?
Does anyone have a photo of the poly switch on the crossover?
Does anyone sell redone crossovers here?

    Thanks for all your help.
