RT3000 Plate amp.

Hello fellow CP members.

I'm looking for a RT3000 plate amp. If any one out there has a spare one, Please let me know. I sent mine in for service, but unfortunatly It cannot be fixed. There is a short on the board with the main caps.

    I didn't know POLK couldn't fix one of these for any reason. This is new to me. I have two sitting here and haven't tested them since I got them. I'll have to get around to it this year for sure.
    Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

    Seems to be many PCB failures out there. Wondering if its worth it to piece together a set? Found the subs with one amp missing (PCB failure, then tossed!)

    I found the same one on CL, but the person didn't want to ship. He said too much of a hassle.
    I was able to procure a plate amp from another member. Just needs the caps replaced. Everything is good so far.

    I'm still back and forth on what I plan to do. That guy on CL is about a 3-1/2 hour drive from me....has the subs and RT55 tops. Also, I've been in contact with the guy selling the tops, center, & surrounds...would have to get it all shipped. Just not sure at this point...will see what happens over the weekend.

    WLDock. if someone was within 3.5 hours away from where I live, I'd most likely buy them. That's for sure!
    Everyone selling their RT's are in other parts of the country, I just don't have that luxery. If an opportunity presents itself closer to S.Florida, then I'm all over that deal.

    I picked them up today...I also got a suprise, the tops are original and not RT55's, Yeaaah! So now I need an amp!
