Baltimore MUST win their last 2 and hope Cincy loses 1. Today may be the day that happens with Cincy going against the Rams in St. Louis.

    Just praying here.

The Ravens DESTROYED the helpless Browns today, 35-0! With that and the Bungles loss to the Rams, we take over the division lead with 1 game left. Jamal Lewis has a 2 game total of 500 rushing yards against them this season. SICK!

We win next week Or both Cincy and us lose, we got the division title!

    Let's go guys...we want postseason.

    Frank,

I am the ultimate Bronco pessimist(sp?). I really believed that the Broncos chances were 40/60 at best with Portis in the game, and maybe 25/75 with him out. I really thought if they did win it would be luck........

Boy could I have ever been so wrong. Who knows what the playoffs bring. But if any team can win three on the road to go to Florida, Denver is the team.

Did you see the time of possesion stat? Denver 45 minutes, Indy 15 minutes. And to hold Indy's offense to 10 total points was even more amazing.

Looking forward to how they play in Lambau

    Cowboys are in the playoffs!

Truthfully, I'm not expecting a whole lot, but it's nice to be back on the positive side for the season.

How about the Saints yesterday, hello? The play of the YEAR on that final touchdown, only to be washed out by a missed extra point!!! And from one of THE BEST kickers EVER in the game!

    Cheers,
    Russ

    avelanchefan,
I hear ya, after some of the key players got injured early in the season I was worried. But I think they really showed a lot of character by not imploding completely. Some of the games they lost earlier in the year were frustrating losses but perhaps that helped get them refocused. I was sceptical about the decision to pick up Jake Plummer in the off-season, but he has proven to be a very capable QB given the right supporting cast. 2 TD's last night for The Snake!! Quentin Griffin really did a superb job moving the ball on the ground and provided a few nice blocks to boot. Ashley Lelie redeemed himself with some of the receptions he made, hell all of the receivers contributed to the win. A total team effort, and a blast to watch!!

On a side note, Our thoughts and prayers go out to Brett Farve and his family. His fathers untimely death is truly sad.

That's nice of you to mention FZ. People around here are stunned. People around here loved Irv. He was a regular on a local postgame radio show and it was fun to listen to his opinionated, off-the-cuff remarks after the game.

It looks like Brett is going to play tonight. I have no idea what to expect under these circumstances. I'm guessing either he will be horrible or have an incredible game. Nothing average or run of the mill. To much emotion for that. Hopefully the team can rally around him and Ahman Green & Co. can take the burden off him to do anything spectacular.

Congrats on the Broncos clinching a playoff spot. I'm hoping that somehow or other by next Sunday, Denver's playoff picture will be set so they have nothing to gain by winning and can rest all their starters against the Packers. ;)

    LMAO! Right on man.

I don't know if it'll affect his game, but the guy is a true athlete and just an inspiration to anyone. He'll take adversity and use it to his advantage. He's always done that. Stuff like this should make other guys step up....The Packers have been known for having guys step up for one another when they really need it.

I guess I need to be realistic, but I have the faith in Favre to take it as far as possible and maybe win a Super Bowl this year. It's really up to him, and then his team. Tonight will be telling.

I'd love to say that there is no chance in hell with this team, but stranger things have happened and this is the Packers. This has been such an odd season. I personally thought that this team was FANTASTIC most of the year, but had issues where it seemed like they weren't coming to play some days. I mean...dropping that **** against the Chiefs was UNTHINKABLE....games like that are wrapped up 99.9% of the time with that big of a lead...I mean no even the Vikings blew their huge lead.

It's games like that...and the Arizona, Detroit, and Minnesota opener that are going to come back and bite us. We'd be sittin' pretty high atop the NFC with those wins.

Anyhow...My thoughts will be with Favre tonight. I'm so stoked for this game.

Man, that was an unbelievable performance. If the Packers manage to get into the playoffs I think Favre will be a man on a mission. With the whole team behind him. I think he'll be super focused on the field as a way to take his mind off his sorrow.

    Truely amazing.

The packers did play very well, congrats on a great win. But...the Raiders have been in self-destruct mode all year. There really wasn't any competition for the Packers last night. Now next week's game should be an excellant match up!!

Great to see Brett Farve step up and continue to lead with the personal tragedy he's dealing with. There aren't many people that could handle the situation as well as he was. I sure has hell couldn't do it.

Yes, Sunday's game vs. the Broncos will be much tougher for numerous reasons. The Broncos, obviously, are a much better team than the Raiders. I'm very glad the games not being played in Denver.

Emotionally, I think the Broncos game could be much harder for Favre than last night's. I'm guessing, in a lot of ways, his father's death hasn't really sunk in yet. The Raiders game was a welcome (probably) distraction for him. But now he has to fly home and deal with the reality of burying his father. It will be a hectic and draining few days for him.

This was an emotional win for the whole team. You could see everyone stepping up their play in support of Favre.

I don't no what will happen Sunday, but I have a gut feeling that this tragedy has really brought the team closer and everyone will be playing harder than ever as a tribute to Favre. I think his teammates must be thinking, "If Brett can play, and play great, after what's happened how can I go out there and not bust my ****, too?"

I know I'm rambling a bit. But, as a Packer fan it was hard not to be inspired by the teams performance last night. Regardless of how lousy the opposition was.

    The thing is....

    Detroit - We Lost

    Arizona - We Lost

Those are 2 MUST wins and we didn't. Favre essentially threw up 41 points against the Raiders. That's a big deal for the Packers because they aren't that launch every ball in the air and pray our recievers catch it type team that's been popular as of late. We're a drive the ball and try to stop what we're doing no nonsense team. We usually keep opponnents scores relatively low.

I dunno...I was really happy with the performance. This is the same Raider team that beat the Ravens the week before....They are still an NFL team.
