Finally back online. Move was stressful but went well. Speakers made it. Still haven't hooked the stereo up. So no idea if they survived the trip without issue.

Now I can finish off some long awaited audio purchases

Congrats. The move is never fun (just went through that debacle) but the end result is usually worth it.

When we moved I made two separate trips the night before 'moving day'. Those two trips involved couch cushions in the back of the Escape and all my gear.

The former owners were actually just cleaning and leaving when I got there (they had agreed to let us move some stuff in early) and gave some funny looks when I was hauling in all this audio gear.

Anyway, glad you get to do some upgrading to your system!!

Moving sucks. I don't plan on doing that again. Hope you will end up happy as I am.

Great, now that you are settled in, install the leaked OS 10.1 for your Z10.

Ugh... no I don't want to start doing that only to have a carrier update mess something up. I've been on the fence about doing it... I haven;t had time to do enough reading to see if its the real deal or not.

It's bad enough after the first major update (Rogers), I lost my 'Notifications' tab in the HUB and along with that, Adobe reader no longer works! So I have to reinstall the OS anyways to correct these.

I'll look into it this weekend maybe. My C:/ drive decided to get all corrupt and I just did a fresh Windows OS install... Not having fun with reinstalling everything nor am I happy of all the links, bookmarks and emails I lost. 3 components were giving me grief, so far so good. Just installed Link (I hate this software as much as iTunes). Lost all my backups too for my phone, damn.

Fired up the rig 30 mins ago. Nothing but silence upon power up so that was a sigh of relief... Played the first song and got reeled in for 30 mins. Been a long few weeks since I heard my rig play. A bit of a different sound too as I now have a bigger listening room and SPACE beside the speakers! That's a nice change. The sound stage has changed. But I was really liking what I was hearing though. Really liking the bass with having the speakers 6" off the back wall. I am very impressed for how this room sounds. Just wish I could turn it up a little more but at the volume levels I was comfortably listening at today, I'll miss those odd rock out sessions but there will come a time.

I must say, I feel like there is a veil over the speakers that needs to be removed. Need to get those crossovers done! That and some new/different gear.
