Hey I don't know if either of you have Mindi Abair's debut album "It Just Happens This Way" but it is fantastic. She plays saxophone with passion. Since both of you like Botti on the trumpet, well she plays jazz music the same way with the sax.
I never would have thought a year ago that I would be listening to so much jazz now. But artists like Botti and Abair give new definition to jazz. More like "pop" Jazz.
Anyhow, highly recommended by me. Every song is great and invigorating. Nice bass on the tracks to.

p.s. if anyone else knows of artists that fit into this category please let me know!

Paul, thanks, bud! Bought it a couple of weeks ago, yes, I like it a lot. It's definitely has an element of "Funk" in her style. As you said, recording is great too....move away Dave Koz...:)I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Looks like another CD to audition! Checkout David Sanborns newest SACD "TimeAgain", mighty nice sax work.
