They are not yet covered with cloth but the room is a lot better as far as bass goes. Less boom more punch.
The room will never sound correct it just can't be done. But this really helped a lot only 8 more to build I am going to place them on the wall along the top of the walls as well and use brackets to hold them up. As of now I have 2 corners filled.Absolute corruption empowers absolutely.

The fake wood paneling you see on the walls is loosely nailed to the walls with no drywall under it that is going to come down soon and up will go drywall which will help the bass a lot sense it acts as a bass trap in it's self then it flexes.Absolute corruption empowers absolutely.

Um, yeah... ever think the real issue might be the subs? Oh well. I just have to keep reminding myself - to each his own. Enjoy!
-
No matter where I place the subs I have a -17 dip at 70hz and a 18+ db peak at 51hz.
This room has no drywall you do understand that that will do to the frequency response. I have a room mode at both 51hz and 54hz which being so low is fairly hard to tame.
As for the subs I have owned and tryed several different ones and I still have these issues. And my sda's also show the same issues both with 2 channel without the subs and with the subs when watching movies.
If the subs are the issue can you explain to me what is wrong so I can fix it.Absolute corruption empowers absolutely.
