Wildfire season has begun once again in So Cal... It has been hotter than hell these past few days, and one of our favorite places to get away from it is being consumed by fire. More than 20 thousand acres have been burned in Camarillo, which is about twenty mils from our home. The wife and I are choking on the smoke generated by the flames, and our eyes have been watering all day.

You think now is a good time to ask her about moving back to the Midwest?:twisted:

I had a four man fire crew camped in my front yard for five days a few years ago while three separate, fires joined together and the smoke will drive you crazy. Hope they get it put out pretty soon. Keep the house closed up,so it doesn't smell like smoke forever.

The smoke is shifting along with the cooler winds coming off the ocean. By morning the smoke will be over my house in West Los Angeles. And the fires (all seven of them) should be under control with the cooler weather and possible rain Sunday and Monday.

Fires are definitely a big problem there.

On the other hand, I can't think of "anyone" who deserves California more than you do, John! So many lessons to be learned and so much "diversity" of everything! lol
