Review: Green Smoke E-Cigarette

For those struggling to quit smoking, what would you say to a "safe" cigarette?
Enter the E-Cig. Yep, I know--I was skeptical too, but curiousity got the best of me. Less than 1/2 the price of cigarettes, no stink, ashes, lighters---and best of all no danger. After my research, I narrowed it down to 2 brands that were highly rated: V2 and Green Smoke. I selected Green Smoke just based on some comments that the cartridges lasted longer, and better battery life.
An intro to E-Cigs:
"Modern" E-cigs consist of 2 parts; the battery (which is the cigarette looking piece) and the Cartimizer. "Cartimizer" comes from the combination of the flavor cartridge and vaporizer. Early E-Cigs had seperate components, and you filled the cartridge manually with solution drops. Cartimizer E-Cigs make the filter part disposable, and it contains both the liquid cartridge that produces the vapor, and the vaporizer. Each cartridge is equivalant to about 1.5 packs of cigarettes, but YMMV. The battery produces the energy necessary to heat the vaporizer and produce the "smoke."
Green Smoke:
I'm impressed. I ordered the "express" kit with Red Label tobacco flavored cartridges, which is suppose to be very close to a Marlboro flavor. You can order different nicotine levels, depending on taste, or order Zero nicotine cartridges. I selected what would be equivalant to a Marlboro "medium" (1.8%). Very nice. You get the flavor, the nicotine, the vapor (smoke) without any of the Tar and associated dangers. No smelly breath, no stink clothes, no offensive smoke---it's simply water vapor that you're exhaling.
If you've been struggling to quit, an no other method seems to work for you--I HIGHLY recommend you research the latest E-Cigarettes; I think you'll be surprised at the satisfaction level of these devices.

Steve, what's the express kit equal to, in terms of cartons? I'm paying $50/ carton now, so...?
Actually nevermind, I just saw that it's equal to about 8 packs.I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE! -

Green Smoke claims that each 5-cartridge pack is equal to 7.5 packs of cigarettes. I would say, your basically paying about $30/carton---and that's being very conservative. Here in Az, a carton runs about $60-$70 for Marlboros.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -
Steve I just bought one and they are garbage, the battery is awful and runs out straight away. I choose to buy the menthol ones because I was stuck outa town and never took my regular ecig equipment with me. I am now hitting around 2 month quit time from being a hardcore smoker and nothing ever worked apart from ecigs
Forget everything they claim about cartridges being equal to etc... its all bs, they are more expensive than smokes -

REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -

I don't use them but worked with someone who smoked a lot. When he switched to e-cigs he thought they were okay when he used the ones from a convenience store, but when he bought the kit, he said it was miles better. Smoother by far, the battery is rechargeable with a USB plug, and there's a lot of choices of strengths and tastes.
Just repeating what I was told. He started out with more nicotine and slowly reduced how much he used over a period of months. And buying them online, he thought he cut his cost over regular cigs by over half. -
???? Let me get this straight they are garbage but yet again they worked well enough for you to quit smoking? Who cares if they are more or less expensive than regular cigs if they save your life?
REGARDS SNOW
Not all of them snow..... just the ones steve mentioned lol
I use a janity go jet with class A and B tanks and by a variety of VG vapor liquids and its a really nice hit and cheap plus you can lower the strength of nicotine to gradually quit -
Polkfarmboy--did you have the disposable model? I don't know how they are more expensive than cigarettes, unless you only pay about $28 for a carton?
I can't speak about battery life yet, but the system seems to work very well so far; lots of "vapor", automatically kicks on when you draw on the cig, etc---I will say the red label tobacco flavor is a touch too sweet If I had to nit-pick.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -
Get into the big dogs steve as its way cheaper and more satisfying. There are hardcore vapor dudes but I wanted something simple and effective. I bought one of these and a bunch of liquids and its been great http://www.electronic-cigz.com/egojetsxlset.html
