Hey Scott,
I know we dont get along. Hopefully though, for the next 2 seconds you can put that behind us.
In the flea market, you posted a link to an A/V rack that was available at Walmart. I have taken a liken to the looks. However I can't find this rack at Walmart to see just how it looks and how good it really is.
If you could post pics and give a descript on how sturdy it is, and how much weight it can hold...I would be much grateful as I really want it. I just don't know how good it is.
Thanks for all your help.
- Sid

I saw it in a WalMart ad several months ago when I was looking for a new rack. It is a remake of a highend populair style, costing like a grand. I went to my local WM and thier was not one to be found. Checked out the website and noticed they carried many nice racks online. But for looks and bang for the buck the one I picked up was to good to pass up. After going to WM the following week - thier they were probably because of the AD. Picked one of the two up and never looked back.
Easy to put together and very strong and sterdy. Not as much as the $1000 unit but good enough for me. The top and bottom shelves are thick laminated wood. With three glass shelves inbetween. My heavest piece of equipment is my Onkyo reciever at 50lbs witch is on top - no problems what so ever.
Very solid unit. If you need a link or some picks of mine let me know. -
Thanks for all the help. A picture of it (not the picture on Walmart.com) would be helpful. I can't really tell what the silver looks like. Thanks for your patience.

Here are a few pics. Posts and back are a dull silver finish. But brighten up in the light. The glass shelves are held on with metal pens with clear suction cups. Holes in the rear for wires. Thier is also a matching tv stand.

Thanks Scott for the pics! I plan to get that rack (the A/V rack...) and the matching tv stand after I get my room redone. Thanks for your time.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Have you considered building a flexi rack? LINK
they are MUCH cheaper and easy to build! If you paint the MDF you can probably make one for less than $50 or $60. you could also build one for your TV stand. PICTURE Obvously you don't need the wheels and you can make it look however you want.
here is a pick of mine (I used Parts Express Cherry vinyl instead of paint). It looks great and my wife even likes it.

It is not MUCH cheaper - we are talking $79. And it looks like a $1000 unit. The whole point of the thread.....
Audio is on the front row now and you don't have to get a loan to buy things like racks now. Thus before WE had the greatly inspired "flexi" racks.;) -

Hey, no problem. $79 is very cheap for a nice audio rack now-a-days....... That price does not even pay for 1 of my cables.
Depends on you finances
I have another option. Cement Blocks/Eggcrate and scrape plywood - I have seen a many of these around in my days and even cheaper than flexirack....
Especially if you have the stuff lying around. Really it works... -
