What are you thoughts on the Carver M1.5T running a pair of SDA 1Cs. Starting tonight I will be plugging this amp into my setup for a trial period. I am curious as to what your opinion is on this amp.

Good amp! Lots of good power for those speakers. Should be a GREAT match and you should enjoy it very much.

I love Carver with SDA's. I am running my M1's (biamped) on my 2.3TL's and I'm extremely satisfied. There are some people who don't care for the 1.5 (Or even Carver in general), but in reality, it's your opinion that matters since you will be the one listening to it!

You want to be careful with that amp and SDA's. As I remember, some of the early 1.5's are not common ground amps, and SDA's don't like them for that reason. If the amp IS common ground, you are in for some audio bliss!

Follow up. I purchased the M1.5T along with a C1 pre. Below is a photo of my setup. Its not normally arranged like this but this setup made for a better photo.

Nice little setup there. HUGE fan of the M1.0t as well as the C-1. If only the C-1 could have input switching via a remote hehehe...

Cant wait till my 1.0t is finally up and running again.

Now you just need to upgrade the SDA 1C's and then give them to me

Nice setup! Big fan of the 1C's.

I've always found Carver amps to have a sort of synergy with Polk speakers. I used to run my SRS 2's on a TFM-35, and then later on a TFM-4.0 (cosmetics aside, it's the same amp as m4.0t and TFM-42/45), before moving on to a Sunfire, so I guess that makes me look like a Carver fan. They have their share of critics, too, of course. And lots of people who's opinions I respect, DON'T seem to like them, but I've always been real pleased with mine. I have a C-1 also that I upgraded with better caps, metal film resistors, and upgraded opamps.. It sounds great!

Thanks for the kind words about my system. Modding the SDA 1Cs are in the future but not for awhile. Ive got the RTA's to finish up and a few amps to work on next. Below is a photo with the RTA-12s. If you look closely you will notice the two inductors are of different colors. The crossover with the two red inductors is currently taking the place of the original I have on the workbench getting upgraded.
