I just recently picked this baby up and haven't done tons other than verify it works and do some initial cleaning. I was planning on keeping it for quite some time, however an item just popped up that I am MORE interested in, but it requires me to sell off this baby quick.

It has the walnut case upgrade and in addition also has the rare to find, original proprietary speaker connector which rarely comes with it and is as far as I am aware not being reproduced. I will post pics of the connector to the slideshow later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Here is a pic of the unit to give you an idea its condition. I am only the second owner and the first took good care of this unit.

Here is a link to the slideshow of the pictures I have.

So here's the deal, I have seen these baby's sell in a large range of prices depending on condition. I rate this as about a 8 out of 10. I am looking for 300 + shipping (from 46077) for this item. Payment via PayPal as a "gift" preferred. Otherwise add PayPal fee's.

Any questions let me know.

This item wont be up for long as if I cant sell it quick enough and the other item sells this comes back off the market.

Beautiful and well priced with the wood case.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

PM Replied to. Right now not interested in selling the case or cord separate from the unit. If I do decide to sell the case & cord separate then Dromunds has first crack at them.

But for right now Still available folks!

That cabinet has got to be $150.00 or better of any ones money by itself and decent ones without a cab go for $300.00 or more on Ebay a great buy for someone.

Also dont want to forget the proprietary power connector that is normally missing as well. For any collector that piece is VERY important.

So the case and the proprietary cord have been sold to dromunds on the forum. The actual pre-amp is still available. Right now its being used a a phono pre for my turntable as I love the EQ sliders to tweak the sound before it goes to my Sunfire TGP-II pre-amp.

These sell on ebay for varied costs without the case or cord, so I am going to reduce my price to what I think is decently fair (but I am open to offers via PM).

    Looking for 225 + shipping from 46077.

Received the wood case and cord today. Great job of packing. It arrived in fine shape and its a handsome piece. Good luck with the sale of the preamp itself, I can attest that's a nice unit and well priced. Thanks again.

Thanks, my apologies it took me a bit to get it shipped, but as you can see I was waiting for the "right" box to come along so I could make sure it arrived in its mint conditon to you.

Folks Don is a class act and I would gladly deal with him again for future reference.

Post a pic of it in your setup when you get a chance

Folks this pre-amp is still available, minus the case and proprietary connector. I am looking for 225 + shipping but there might be some wiggle room there.

The pics below are from when I originally got it. Since these pics were taken I cleaned it more and applied de-oxit to all the connections.

The components inside look amazingly well preserved, or did someone replace things?

If i had not received a carver c11 in the mail yesterday, would be seriously considering this.

Original owner took RIDICULOUSLY good care of it. Nothing replaced, but it wasn't in use for a long time.

I posted yesterday but apparently the hacker thing resulted in it being lost. In any event, this preamp has a good phono stage. I had one in the 70's and they were very popular. Picked up another one a few years ago. Quality vintage gear. Real value at this price. Looks like a real nice faceplate and well taken care of.
