So the time has come for me to finally replace my tv. I'll need something around 50-55 inches. There will be a decent amount of reflected light in the room when the kids are using it, but I usually will only use it at night time.
I will game with my Xbox a few days a week, and the kids will game on it occasionally as well.
There's a huge amount of info out on the net and varying opinions on whether led or plasma is better for gaming.
So, what should I be looking for with my needs?

Budget?Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Too bad you couldn't buy a cheap DLP anymore as Mits has clearanced them out right after the new year. I was lucky to get one of the last ones. Was nice to get a 82" for $1800. You couldn't touch the size of that even close to that price in a LED,LCD or Plasma.
Was going for a 73" but all they had left in a warehouse in Cal was the 82".
Perfect for gaming as theres no worry about burn in at all. Fastest pixel movement of all the current tvs.

If you want led I would go Lg or sharp. I think the majority here would recommend the Panasonic plasmas. I personally use a LG 60" plasma, purchased last September for a $1000.
