I got offered a pair of these and would like to know if they are supposed to be any good in general ?

Your opinion on this forum is way up there on my top 10 for credibility so that's a very reassuring statement about the gold eclipse. When I was looking into the shotgun then f1 h9 and a few other say that you need to have both ic and spkr cables to match. Would this be true about the wireworld series? -
Yes, I own them and use them in my main rig. I'd use them everywhere if they weren't so expensive.
Matching cables is more important with MIT's networked cables than anything else. I just bought a pair then shortly after I saw a used pair on agon for cheaper :eek:
I would rather have a brand new set anyway as I would always have the ' are they fake' question lingering in my mind, even if they were not and sounded awesome. Well now i need power cords and speaker cables to match or I just wont get the full potential out of these -

When your gear is at a certain level then there is a real problem telling whats better because components limit the evaluation process. I read a review last night on the eclipse 6 speaker wires and gold eclipse ic's and the reviewer said that he had more expensive cables but he could not tell the difference. He goes onto comment about the components internal wiring is basically going to limit the signal transmited
If your gear has good wiring then the cables will only max out what already is there and cannot work a miracle. With the primaluna and perfectwave dac I doubt I would be able to tell the diff between a reference level full wireworld setup vs a full MIT shotgun setup, although I would still be very interested to try it out. Hope MIT comes back to polk with a new demo as I now feel qualified to give it a fair trial -
