Question about EZ Set/EQ settings on my Harman Kardon receiver

Okay I ran the EZ Set/EQ on my receiver(have always configured it manually in the past). For my speakers(listed in sig below), it wants to set all of my speakers to large with a 40hz crossover point with the bass being directed to both my subwoofer and front LR speakers. Is this the right way to run things? Should I change them to small with a 80 or 60hz crossover and let the sub handle the bass? I would think that my all speakers could handle frequencies down to 40hz but I would be worried about whether the receiver could handle it. Any suggestions?

I would personally set them all to small, and cross over at 80 hz. Auto-cal programs are not perfect, and you probably hear differently than that mic. As long as you don't go below, in this case, 40 hz all will be well. Let the sub do what it was designed to do.

I've set mine to 60Hz....pretty similar to what I have....my 445 is okay for powering 5 speakers with 60-hz setup at reference level but we hardly listen at reference level anyway....it's too loud for my family...ultimately let your ears decide..

Try it both ways and see what floats your boat. You won't hurt anything, and all this isn't written in stone.
