Logitech harmony rf extender questions

Hey everyone,
I am considering buying the rf extender for my Logitech 1100. I have a few questions though. My equipment is all in the open currently so do I have to tape ir repeaters over each piece of equipment? Does everything have to plug into the back of the Rf unit? Anyone use it? Likes/dislikes?

I have the 900 and it comes with what is considered as the RF extender. You can attach the blaster with tape or some non permanent adhesive if you want or you can just place them near the units IR receiver.

The large blaster is awesome. It has great range when it isnt even near the units. My big blaster sits on top of my tv stand in front of my Csia6. It reaches the tv which is directly behind the center, and the units inside my stand which are the next shelf down and slightly behind the main blaster.

The large blaster is the main hub. It plugs into the wall and the mini blasters plug into it.
All of them can recieve signal perfectly. It always works. I dont even need to use my mini blasters

So would I have to place the large blaster in front of all my equipment?

Not really. The only thing that the large blaster is in front of is my tv. Everything else is underneath behind or way out to the left
