Looking for a single 5751 or 12AX7 as described in title for my CAL Sigma II DAC.

    You left out, Sylvania 5751 from the late 1950's. An excellent tube, if I do say so myself.

    I have a very nice single Amperex Bugle Boy 12AX7 with D getter made in 1957 that tests good I cant say it is NOS but I do gurantee happiness or your money back.

    Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

    I might have a Sylvania orphan. Let me check. Probably not going to be NOS, but a strong one nonetheless. It's going to be very difficult to find a single NOS with horse shoe.

    I might have an extra RCA TM BP D getter 5751. It would be used also and not NOS though.

    Their is a pair of early 1950's GE 12AX7 long Grey plate Horse shoe getter tubes on canuck audio mart (Canada) for $75. Rated 9 on the audiogon scale.
    Not sure if they would do or not, as they arn't black plates. I did notice black plate types on the same site though.
