I want to replace the speakers in a 1988 jeep for my 16 year old daughter, she like bass, the jeep has a sony cd /radio something or other installed. The speaker size is 5.25 there are 4 speakers
Can any one recommend a not to pricey set of speakers?

    id go with these
theyre $75 a pair, which is the best cheap priced speakers i saw on sounddomain
they have good specs, and made out of good materials
anything below that is going to be a considerable jump down
if $75 a pair is too much, let us know and well see if we can find anything else

I would respectfully disagree on this one. I hate Infinity. When I first bought my truck I bought Infinitys all around and they sucked. They are very bright and tinny sounding. If you listen to them at any volume its even worse. They become very shrill and painful to listen to. I still have a set of 5.25s in my rear doors now and Im just aching to upgrade them. I would check out Polk DB for $80 a pair. Best Buy has Kenwood and Pioneer speakers for $70 and under. They are not competition level but a very good speaker for the price.
