Questions? I have a Yamaha Rxv 471 receiver, 85watts per channel. Thinking of purchasing Polk rti a7's would that be enough power for the rtia7's.. Or would the rti a5's be a better choice. also how do the rti a7's and the rti a5's compare to each other? Currently have Polk monitor 60's front, csi10 center, fxi a4's rear and 2 Polk psw110's. any suggestion. Thanks.

Kinda borderline. The 7's can sure use some more power but you'll be ok for now. My other concern I see is that small center speaker. The 7's will drown it out so think about getting a larger center like a CS5.
Down the line when you go shopping for a better receiver, make sure you get one with preouts to be able to add an amp down the road should that upgrade bug bite you again.HT SYSTEM-

With either the A7's or A5's, you'll want to get the CSi A6 center, so include that in your plans. As for the AVR, yeah you'll need a better one.Political Correctness'.........defined

I would get a better receiver with preouts first then get a separate amp so that you can hear what your current speakers are truly capable of first.
