Center Channel Wish List...

All,

I wish that Polk would create a center channel that had some more drivers in it. I love my CSi-A6, but wish it just had more. I mean wouldn't it be awesome if it had the same 3.5" mid range driver as the LSiMon top of the 1" tweeter and the two 5" woofers? I dunno, just thinking out loud here.

i haven't heard every center out there, I doubt any one could say they have, but for the ones I have heard the modified sonicap cs350 is still my center of choice. May not match your set perfectly but no slouch none the less.
    Too much **** to list....

    Why? To accomplish what, exactly?

More what??? (other than drivers, lol). What are you trying to "fix" about it sonically?
wouldn't it be awesome if it had the same 3.5" mid range driver as the LSiM on top of the 1" tweeter and the two 5" woofers?

No. No it would not be awesome. That 3.5" driver does not match the RTiA series speakers.

So what is lacking about the A6 that you're trying to fix? The LSiM-706c is the best center channel speaker Polk has ever made. Look that direction if you need an upgrade.

From what I recall, there was/is a thread about replacing one capacitor in CS350-LS.

Found it. It's just one 5.8uf capacitor.
I need to do that sometimes but it sounds good as it is so no hurry.

Well, you could always do away with that that center and get another main. That would be the best, since you'd have LCR all matching. However, we all know that doesn't work for aesthetic or WAF issues in normal living arrangements. Perfect if you had acoustically transparent screen.

If I were you, try a phantom center, in most cases it might work better.

Be mindful of placement as that cap BARELY fits. If done incorrectly it will not go back in the hole. I sold the foil inductor due to lack of space, really tight quarters in the cs350ls.
