So I'm surrounded to the best that this room allows by PolkAudio's TSi line.The bug has bit me and now I'm looking at AVR's and Amps.

Now every time I think that I have made my mind up, it gets switched again. I just had my mind set on the Marantz SR6006 from Accessories4less based on all the recommendations here on the seller. Loving the AirPlay, style, and convenience of the Party mode. This is coming off the Onkyo TX-NR818 and TX-NR809. I was so set on the 818 that I even purchased a usb->3.5mm adapter to use as an amp trigger. Now Amazon has open box 809 units for under $375... This is so tempting since I have an AppleTV unit that I could use (not thrilled with it though, keeps dropping out when AirPlaying audio). Ahh... but I can get a longer aftermarket warranty from acc4less.

Obviously at the price point that I am looking at, my options are limited - but apparently not limited enough. You guys have created a monster. :twisted:

    I went through this for 3 years. and finally got the Onkyo TX-NR 3010. I was all over the place with AVR or Pre amp to go with my Adcom. I am really happy with my 3010. I replaced a Pioneer Elite vsx 56txi. Good Luck xdfireguy

    I believe the 818 supports flac files and the 809 does not.

    Yes the upgrade bug is very addictive.
    In the last year I have upgraded my speakers, got into a separate amp, now have 2 turntables and last but not least I have a custom power cable and custom interconnects on the way.
    Oh and just moved my gear into a tall audio cabinet for the sole purpose of getting my TT higher up at chest level..
    And still looking everyday for something audio to possibly upgrade, lol
    Enjoy it while it lasts or run out of $$

    Just pulled the trigger on an Onkyo TX-NR818. The thing that pushed me over the edge on this is that I got an email from Onkyo stating that they will honor the full warranty on Amazon open box items.

    Now, I just need to hear back from a few CL posts and I might have the start of a reasonable system until it expands (again... and again... and again...)

    Thats a great piece also Onkyo finally fixed the 24 fps bug with the last firmware update. All is good now!!

    I just upgraded my receiver to sc-65 and now for a reason or another i feel to get an audiophile quality cd player, cd transporter, dac.. the list is long. Hopefully I live for a few more years that I can finish my list. I am afraid that it is a never ending list. Will see

    I just wish I would get a response on the Craigslist amp I've got my eye on. I'm being good and not circumventing the 100 post rule, but I wish I could see what's on the other side of a thread or two :wink:

    The wait until Emotiva's summer sale will do my wallet good.... Before I upgrade my BRP, I need to find one of quality to see what the fuss is all about.
