Congrats Steve for sure! So many times during college I wondered if it was really worth all the effort. Not for everybody, but I'm glad I stuck it out like you did.

I was in Austin last year... cool town.

I suspect that SAP will be in your future? or web design? Some good technology to be in for sure.

p.s. unique receiver you have, the Arcam.. nice!

    Gracias peeps.

I've been working at a company called Sigmatel for the last year, so I've been working for a while. I worked at ESS Technology for about 2.5 years before that. So I've been in the workforce for a bit now.

Now it's time to catch up on my videogaming ;)

Congratulations - you must not have spent a lot of time on 6th street. :D

As for some posts on computer science, network security and such... Yes, there is a need and future in information technology and especially in security. I have on staff a range from recent graduates to ex-military. My company just won Network Computing's "Most Outstanding Product of the Year" and their "Security Product of the Year."

Congrats, man! I spent 5 long years in school (it was a 5 year program, for real!) and it felt so nice to graduate! I already had a job while I was in school too and just went full time the Monday after graduation. My class graduated on a Saturday. Everyone asked me why I started working full-time on Monday. My response was "Because I couldn't come in on Sunday."

It's a good feeling though and you deserve all the credit and kudos you get! It isn't an easy task to complete!

The thing that bothered me most...and still does is that when I am bored to tears because I don't have any school work, I'll start getting anxious because I think I have a paper due soon or a test to study for! I've been out of school for about 4 years now too!

Yea, I'm having some of that post-school boredom.

Feels weird not having homework, hahahaha.

Spent 11 hours at work today :(

Yeah, I hear you about the work. The major difference that nobody ever got when I was working and in school at the same time was pretty simple. They all wondered why I would rather be at work than school. It always escaped them and it's a good thing to remember when feeling down about having to log long hours.

You pay THEM to go to SCHOOL, THEY pay YOU to go to WORK!
