just enough...i could see that it was lowered...it was very steady...the owner mostly showcased the goofy-grin inducing accelaration:)

Awesome, a friend of mine had a Corvette like that with 735 at the rear wheels. The car would lunge at 135mph, blink and your doing 185. Did 216 on the track. 3 neighbors on my street build muscle cars/hot rods from the ground up in their garages. Always cool to see the various stages of completion walking around the block. There is a muscle car/classic show here once a month, nothing like classic muscle to me.

I have a buddy who races Porches. He has a 996 that has been SERIOUSLY redone. Just under 1k HP twin turbo opposed 6...
In the length of your average freeway on-ramp, he can hit 150+. He has had it up to 220mph at the Texas mile. The thing that amazed me the most besides the stuck to the pavement like gun on a hot day handling was how much it felt like getting launched into the sky on one of those amusement park rides.
There was a video floating around YouTube of it vs a Techart GT on some show on SpeedTV but I am too lazy to look it up atm.

That is just way too much power for any car. Anything over 800 is overkill.

I would just keep your current car and build a drag car to run at the track. That way you can actually use the power your making.

You don't say!...I went ahead and looked it up. All i found was super expensive cars and not a single stick of PT or even stairs to be found. Take video next time he's ripping up the asphalt on a "PORCH".

    Sorry....

the stock 550 hp is probably too much as well...from what i hear, they leave the factory with significant traction issues

Wow!! My 92LX coupe is only putting 450 to the wheels! I can't imagine what a monster of 800+hp is like!
You're very lucky to ride shotgun in that beast!! I'm grinning and I didn't even ride in it!

I can tell I am getting old or don't drive my fun cars enough. I took my vette out for a quick spin yesterday. Its supercharged and puts down 620@the wheels. Since I run DRAG RADIALS year round I figured it would hook pretty good with the pavement finally a reasonable temp from the 80degree day. I rolled onto it in first, started breaking loose as boost came up at 4000rpm, short shifted second, had traction to 5000rpm, then when it settled down after the 2-3 shift I was going triple digits and thinking about how I could probably change the pulley back to a 7psi from the current 10 because this is more power than I need...

Very fun, huh? Everytime the wheels break loose, it puts a smile on my face!! I'm glad you had some nice weather to enjoy that 'vette! I'm sure that's one sweet ride!! I absolutely LOVE GM & Ford cars. I recently sold a 71 camaro w/ a 396. That was a fun toy! Now I have my LX coupe & 87 GN.
BTW Chris, I recieved the PSW1000 today! VERY happy!! Thank you!! The box only had a small hole on the side, but everything checked out!! I'll take that for a test drive over the weekend!

I'll send my PSW1200 out to you with-in the next 2-3 weeks. I'll need a bit of time for that guy. I just want to enjoy my new sub!
Sorry guys, didn't mean to jack the thread.
    Frank.
