i wonder if there is a place to buy just the tweeter face plate. i'd like to try a pair of the dayton neodymium 5/8 tweeters. these are supposed to be very good sounding and affordable. of course i can cut a piece of luan.

The Daytons may be a decent tweeter. i don't know, I have never tried them. But they are not likely to match well with the Polk crossover.If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of Progress?!

this tweeter is viewed as quite good on the diyaudio web site by those that have tried it. and yes, some adjustments to the crossover might be required.
