Charley the Golden lives for a ball and a good time.
Sweet Pea the Coonhound lives for a soft couch, she sleeps 16-18 hrs. a day. -
awww... (and I'm not even a "dog guy").
-
Sweet pea looks pretty concerned. "You woke me up for this?"

I think Sweet Pea's gotten into somebody's stash. If dogs could talk, she'd be saying, "Doooood !".
Cute pooches (obviously spoiled, but cute).Sal Palooza -
Riley and Graycie goin' to the dog park."Don't forget to change your politician. They are like diapers they need to be changed regularly, and for the same reason." -
Awesome dog pics! I've got two black labs myself Seeclear. Dogs rule!
-
Yeah, we don't know what the heck they are. Pound pups. Riley (left) probably has lab, and maybe pit bull. She has the barrel chest and shorter snout of a pit. Graycie we really don't have a clue what she is. We suspect there could be some setter in there, because she has the body shape of something like Irish Setter, and her fur is longer like that. Maybe the black color came from black Lab? They're both sweethearts, tho, and best friends, only one year difference in age."Don't forget to change your politician. They are like diapers they need to be changed regularly, and for the same reason."

They are beautiful. I would say both have lab in them. Both my dogs are shelter/rescue dogs and they couldn't be better dogs. I think shelter/rescue dogs really realize what you did for them and they return it and much, much more. -
Nice brats! Had four dogs since we were married. Our spoiled rescue cat Jasper, a hybrid. He is not like a normal kitty at all. Follows us around, gets involved with what we are doing. Doesn't fetch but neither would our male Sheltie.

Loosing my beloved golden retriever today Charley to bone cancer. Our poor coon hound is going to be so lost.
He only made it to 9 1/2. Life sucks today -
I'm sorry to hear that. For as much as they worm their way into our hearts, dogs don't live as long as we'd wish... Remember all the good times with Charley!Jay

Thanks everyone for your kind words. He has cheated death 3 times in life and always came out swinging. I sold my soul to him since I never had children. He was always a "good time Charley" and loved people better than most other dogs. He always loved to go to the Vet because it was a time to just visit even though he had to get poked or prodded. I put him down at 10 this morning,he wouldn't get out of the car. I feel he knew what was to happen and I feel as if I played a dirty trick on him. The cancer was eating him alive and he still wanted to play ball this morning.
It's going to be a very slow recovery. -
Ugh. So Sorry. It's so hard losing someone that loves you so unconditionally.HT

He's chasing rabbits and eating steak with Sammy.
