just came across this..I kind of find it funny...but not really

    Yeah, I would say the odds of anything that is shipping from China having been made in the U.S.A. is pretty slim.

    I think it means the cable is a US version rather than being made in the US?

    When you order goods made in China, they ask you how you'd like it labeled.
    Made in USA. AQ, Kimber, ETC. They really don't care, as long as your check clears.

    I did a search for that patent number and couldn't come up with anything.
