every body has diff opinions about this as you may find when asking. a lot will come down to personal taste and room size and convenience. i tend to have my setup a little farther apart then most. my rears are about 15 ft from tv and about 7ft from the sweet spot, my fronts are about 6ft from either side of tv and center chnl about 10 ft from sweet spot my lfe sub is about 15 ft from tv and in a corner, my main(L&R) sub is next to tv on rt side about 3.5 ft from rt main(opposite side of room that lfe sub is on,balances room sound out quite nicely). i have played with placement a lot almost too much about drove my fam insane but after 1 and 1/2 yrs i found this set up very pleasing to my ears.

i guess what my point is just play with it you will find your perfect speaker placement. just have fun trying:D
